Kaveri Seth
Kaveri Seth is an actor, dancer and choreographer from New Delhi, currently based in Mumbai.
Her latest project is a film for Disney+ Hotstar and Hulu, titled Gulmohar, directed by Rahul Chittella.
Since 2020, Kaveri has been acting full time and training with a renowned theater director in India. Following her debut as a theater actor in 2015, she worked with director Mira Nair for over a year and assisted her on projects including Monsoon Wedding Musical and A Suitable Boy.
Kaveri also played the role of Shireen Irani in A Suitable Boy that released on BBC One, Netflix and Acorn TV. With a screenplay by Andrew Davies, the series is an adaptation of Vikram Seth’s famous novel.
Other than her recent work in film and national television commercials for brands like Uber, Spotify and CarDekho, she has played the lead in two of Bay Area Drama Company's theatrical renditions - Vijay Tendulkar's play Kanyadaan and Mahesh Dattani's Dance Like a Man, both staged in the San Francisco Bay Area.
With over a decade of training in Bharatanatyam, Kaveri graduated with an MFA in Dance, Design & Production with Honors from Saint Mary's College of California. During her time there, she explored contemporary and Bharatanatyam dance movement, and the kinesthetic relationship that exists between performer and spectator.
She also collaborates on various projects in America as a dance photographer and lighting designer for stage.
